A number of factors determine the price range of homes you'll want to preview - one of these factors is loan pre-qualification.
As your agent, I will help you pre-qualify. Items considered when pre-qualifying for a mortgage loan include:
- Employment History
- Credit History and Scores
- Monthly Income and Expenses
With my knowledge of the mortgage market, I'll help you make an informed decision as to the type of loan you'll want. There are many different types of loans to consider - FHA, VA, Conventional and even Bad Credit Loans. We'll find the best loan for your situation.
Also know that there are many "junk fees" out there. Beware of these when you shop from one broker to the next. Get a copy of a "Good Faith Estimate" from each broker you shop and I will help you evaluate if you are getting the best interest rate and if it is costing you or not in other ways.
Most importantly, DO NOT HAVE EACH BROKER PULL YOUR CREDIT SCORE! This will drop your credit score each time. They should be able to quote you based on what you tell them your score is and if you have any "30 day lates" (credit history). They will also ask about your cash reserves, down payment, credit card balances, monthly income, monthly expenses, etc. Those things are okay to tell them, but do not have each of them pull your credit score.
